ABOUT ME / CONTACT
With an aversion to following artistic rules I try to create. I'm always trying new things I haven't done before. I attended a technical school for Advertising Art & Design and some college for Fine Arts. I faced the practicality of supporting myself through art and switched to a science major. I Worked in the Environmental sciences for over 20 years. Following my son's decision to join the Marines, I returned to art for therapeutic purposes. Experimenting with recycled materials I started melting wax from old crayons onto canvas. My involvement with Blue Star Moms and Project Nine Line, a veteran-run organization aiding those with PTSD, led to my first art show in 2014. It helped me connect with a supportive community. Attempting to Overcome emotional challenges, including my son's deployments and a breast cancer diagnosis, I continued creating art as a way to express and cope with my experiences. Now I'm working as a chemist and have my own art business. I try to mesh my interests together.
